Photo Challenge Day 9

Day 09 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most

I am so thankful each day for Josh.  This picture was taken at my brother's wedding last weekend.  This May we have been together for 10 years.  We have been married 5 in June.  Some people say that you shouldn't marry young because you don't know who you are yet.  I am glad that each step along the way I've had someone to help me become the best me.  We've both changed, we've both helped each other become better people.  I know that no matter where God leads us in this life we'll have each other to make it through the difficult times.

Ecclesiastes 9-12 9 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

Home Study Visit Scheduled

We have a date with Gateway Woods to get this home study ball rolling even more!  In two weeks they'll be here and hopefully fall in love with us and decide we are great people.  Everyone who feels inclined to prayer, please pray our meeting goes well.  If you have been through this and wanted to leave me some encouragement in the comments that'd be great.  God bless you!

Ezekiel 34:26I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing.

Photo Challenge Day 8

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh

This is a picture of Josh hanging out and goofing off with me and my brothers.  One of the many reasons that I love him is that he is so good at making me laugh and just so much fun to be around.

Psalm 126:2 We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy.And the other nations said,“What amazing things the Lord has done for them.”

Photo Challenge Day 7

Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item

I have saved onto my external hard drive a photo of my wedding quilt made by my mom and one of my hope chest made by Josh.  I love them both.  Unfortunately my computer/hard drive/ I'm not that techy isn't working so I can't figure it out but when I do I will show you the beauty of each!

Matthew 7:11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

Photo Challenge Day 6

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day

I can't think of anyone.  I try to enjoy being me and being present in the life that God has given me.  Really and truly it'd be great to trade places with me in a couple of years when the kids are here so I could know who they are and what I am waiting for (there are so many unknowns!) but I don't have a picture of that (blasted time machine is broken!).  So this is my picture of today, a hope for the future:

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Photo Challenge Day 5

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory

I know I'm late.  No excuses.  Yesterday was a great lazy day for a book and that's what I did all day.

Anyway... I don't have any childhood pictures on here so I thought about this one really hard and then google image searched.  Since google also doesn't have all of my childhood pictures I thought of something that is in so many, here you go:

When you grow up with 5 siblings at home (my oldest sister basically moved out when I was about 5 but she's a lot older than me), and your 2 parents, you need a large vehicle to get around in.  We had several different vans throughout our years but this is the one emblazoned with trips out West, down to Texas, to D.C., (at least in my head if I'm wrong about that older siblings feel free to correct me and say no that was such and such van), and of course the weekly trip to see Granny and Papaw after church.  My parents did a great job of showing us so many different things in the van.  I have so many precious memories of spending time with my family just being a family in the van and that's why I chose this picture.

Deuteronomy 1:31 And you saw how the Lord your God cared for you all along the way as you traveled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child. Now he has brought you to this place

Photo Challenge Day 4

A photo of your night... this one was hard.  Josh is on 3rds right now so I try hard not to concentrate on my nights.  If I didn't despise music that played when you opened a blog page I might have downloaded some snoring music for you but my companion at night is the sound of Pavlov snoring right on the other side of the door.  I know he's there for me if I should need him during the night and the sound reminds me of Josh snoring beside me.  I've said before that to some people the sound of happiness is the sound of their children playing but I don't have that yet.  The sound of my happiness is Josh and Pavlov snoring in unison as I wake up in the morning.  Hopefully sometime soon Josh will be back in my nights but until then I'll make do with Pavlov.

Leviticus 26:6 “I will give you peace in the land, and you will be able to sleep with no cause for fear. I will rid the land of wild animals and keep your enemies out of your land"
