Photo Challenge Day 14

Day 14 - A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without

This is us dancing at our wedding.  Josh and I have been together as a couple 10 years in just a few weeks.  In that time we've both graduated high school, gone to college, Josh has moved multiple times, I've worked a ton of different jobs.  Josh's family has faced many losses and mine hasn't always been super easy.  We've grown up together and I can't imagine facing anything without him by my side.  Currently we're on maybe our biggest journey yet, and I'm glad I have him to turn to and to dream with.  I was so lucky to meet my match such a long time ago (more than a third of my life so far!) and like the Adam Sandler/Wedding Singer song  I wanna grow old with him.  Here's some lyrics:

Photo Challenge Day 13

Day 13 - A picture of your favorite band or artist






This is the David Crowder Band.  I am super into listening to Christian music these days because it just lifts me up.  God definitely has a way of sending you the right song at the right moment.  That said I don't really have a "favorite" other than radio station and that's KLOVE.  Anyway, a couple of months ago a dear friend invited me to go to Winter Jam with her.  One of the featured groups, there were many and they were all awesome too, was the DCB.  The thing that was special about them was that they led worship as opposed to performing for us.  It was an awesome event.  I want to see them alone in concert sometime soon.  Their love of God just oozes out of them and it's awesome.

Photo Challenge Day 12

Day 12 - A picture of something you love

So you've seen enough of Josh's beautiful face, I thought I'd give you some more beautiful faces to look at.  This was taken a few weeks ago at the rehearsal dinner for my brother's wedding.  It is almost all of my nieces and nephews on my side.  Seven out of twelve of the faces that make me smile even to think of them.  These kids are so sweet and I love them all.  Can't wait til I get to add some of my own kids to the cousins' photo.

Home Study Visit Done

So I know I got off track on doing my photo challenge, I posted today and hopefully I'll have time to do one tomorrow too.  For the past 12 days I have been preparing for my home study visit.  This involved making my house look extraordinarily beautiful.  It involved convincing my dad he could help me redo my bathroom (down to nothing in the room and back) in a weekend. It involved a lot of work and I think that I did a pretty snazzy job if I say so myself.  I spent all of my hours working on making sure we were ready so I did not get to get on here but I'll try to do better in the future.
 I did get to go see J.J. Heller with my mom and sister one day and that was awesome!  She reminded me that God does love me and if I seek Him everything else will fall into place.  I need to make sure even in my busiest days to depend on Him.
The meeting went well.  I think we presented ourselves as good and normal people who want children to make a family.  Can't wait to see what the report says and so very thankful for the people who provided our references. God is good all the time.

Day 11 - A picture of something you hate







I don't hate children.  I hate that children die daily from starvation, dehydration, preventable diseases.  I hate that people see these images and their hearts don't break.  I hate that people call themselves Christians with one breath and the next say that people like these women and children here deserve their lives.  No one deserves to have their homes destroyed by war, the bodies ravaged by disease, to be blamed for being victims.  I am thankful each day that God blessed me by allowing me to live here in the United States and to know Him.  I hate when people can't be thankful for their blessings.  


Psalm 45:7 You love justice and hate evil.Therefore God, your God, has anointed you,pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.

Photo Challenge Day 10

Day 10 - A picture of the person you do the most ****** up things with

So obviously I get in more trouble with Josh than anyone else.  Who else could convince me I needed that first tatoo or that we should be known for our Halloween parties? Who else have I traveled the world and been kicked out of train cars?  I am more than a little bit goody-two shoes and Josh helps tone that down and makes life much more fun.

That being said I had one of the craziest nights of my life recently when I went out with my new sister-in-law, Rachel, and all of her friends for her bachelorette party.  Here's a picture of all of us in front of our limo.  It was so awesome!

Photo Challenge Day 9

Day 09 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most

I am so thankful each day for Josh.  This picture was taken at my brother's wedding last weekend.  This May we have been together for 10 years.  We have been married 5 in June.  Some people say that you shouldn't marry young because you don't know who you are yet.  I am glad that each step along the way I've had someone to help me become the best me.  We've both changed, we've both helped each other become better people.  I know that no matter where God leads us in this life we'll have each other to make it through the difficult times.  


Ecclesiastes 9-12 ⁹ Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. ¹⁰ If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. ¹¹ Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? ¹² A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
