Nov 7-- Thankful for Faraday
My little puppy last fall has turned into a great big Giant puppy this fall.
Most evenings it is just the two of us relaxing, taking walks much to the chagrin of the not as nice dogs next door, playing fetch indoors and out. We lost both of our previous pooches last year and I am so thankful we were able to get Faraday to help keep me company this last year. His first year had a lot of excitement, eating a month's worth of medication, moving twice, and making friends wherever he goes.

Thankful for Josh.
He tops my thankfulness list daily. He has been my best friend for over 11 years and my husband more than 6. He works so hard to provide nice things for us and I truly appreciate it daily. I also appreciate the time we get to spend together, working on things for the house, going camping or traveling, playing games, hosting our annual Halloween bash. I prayed to God for my husband and he has blessed me so completely.
The other day when setting up our Thanksgiving mantle I was searching for a picture for a new frame. I went through the wedding album and found this one which I just love. It's not the one in the frame now but it did bring a smile to my face.

So, so thankful for my new church. I was hunting for a church this time last year and now I have one where I am plugging in and deepening my own relationship with God and having opportunities to impact others in our world.

I was especially blessed by attending this women's retreat where I was reminded (and this has come up several times lately so I really do need to listen to God's speaking) that I need to have my priorities in order and that by doing so I will feel that connection to Him strengthen and gain the strength I need from it.
Luke 11:10
For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

I was so very thankful Saturday for the unseasonably warm weather and my sister going running with me. She encouraged me to run further than I thought I could and I am thankful that my legs carried me that far and that I have family who are supportive and motivating. Also for the glorious day God gave us... This pic isn't from that day but from about a month ago when my sister and 2 of my brothers and I all ran a 5k.

I am thankful that brave men and women fought for our freedom and continue to work to preserve my safety. I am also thankful for the many teachers I have met who have put on great Veteran's Day programs that really help us all to think and to thank.

I am thankful that my new home is close enough to town to have high speed internet. We also have so many amenities that make life so much easier. I am blessed to have access to great water everyday and a way to heat my home, cook my meals, clean myself or my stuff. I know that lack of water is such a disadvantage to girls all over the world and I am so thankful that I don't spend my days trying to get it for my family's survival.
John 4:11
“But sir, you don’t have a rope or a bucket,” she said, “and this well is very deep. Where would you get this living water?

I am very thankful that there was a referral today. I am thankful that with this referral we are up to #

I have had a lot of mixed feelings lately about what we should do in the adoption process. If we were still on the path that God had called us to. At least today I feel like we are right where God wants us to be. I am so thankful that there have been two referrals in the past week and that we are getting closer to our kiddos.
James 1:27
Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

And that's all for today folks!
